Leszek Drozd`s orchestral score for ' The Innocents ' is both haunting and revealing in the
way he captures the underlying emotional core of the story and the journey our two female
leads take us on . Interestingly enough , the very first piece of music Leszek wrote as
a melody for our film became the recurring musical theme of the story .
And he created this after only a few telephone conversations we shared about the films'
characters , tone and story . I wanted a simple yet emotionally complex piano piece that
would play almost unconsciously in the background like a third characters voice .
From the moment we heard that first piece he created for ' The Innocents '
we knew we had our voice , and our theme .
And , I still love that music today .
